THE GRAND CANYON

It had been 30 years since my first and only other visit to the Grand Canyon occurred, back in the spring of 1976. That first visit was all too brief, and the images of it that remained in my mind were long faded. During all those years, I longed to return to the Grand Canyon. I was lucky enough to have one day during the early winter of 2006 to see it again, this time with the added texture of a recent snowfall on the ground. For me, the Grand Canyon was no less grand for all the years. In fact, it was even more grand than I had remembered.

The photographs in this photo tour were taken in December of 2006. They highlight the scenic splendor of the Grand Canyon, as seen from the South Rim. Related links for Grand Canyon National Park are listed near the bottom of this page.
